Fellow Coyote Mentors, my fiance and I are in the Top 5 (out of 50) in a contest to win a free Green Wedding. We're hoping nature-connection mentors will support this cause by voting online at the link below. It only takes 10 seconds, so please pass it on if you like what you see. Voting ends February 9th.

Please vote for people who are making a difference for the environment. We're environmental educators at White Pine Programs and focus heavily on mentoring. Help get coyote mentors recognition as the Greens they are -other contestants are more along the reduce-reuse-recycle green thinking.

Thanks so much for reading, voting, & passing it on.

Hi, most of my wilderness experience has been at the Teaching Drum school, in Wisconsin. I feel a need to explore other approaches, and want to try working with kids (our camps are young adults and older.)

The 8shields model has sparked my curiosity, and I'd like to try it out with some help from experienced people. I see the AoM workshop as an option, and at the same time wonder if there's something more available now. Does anyone know of a way to get in touch with schools/programs using this model and of any that are active during winter?
thanks,
Marcus

Oops, need a little clarification on that last one. That's Sebastopol, California. Just in case any of you have any wanted to move to this beautiful progressive place. i would really like an assistant who understands the kind of mentoring style in Coyote's Guide, so I thought I would put it out to the WAS community. You can check my website at www.wildflowerkids.org to see what we're about or email me at bev@wildflowerkids.org. If you know of any other good places to post this, please let me know. Thanks! Bev

I'm looking for an assistant for my nature-based preschool in Sebastopol. We're in our 2nd year, but we're losing our assistant. If you have any interest in helping us continue creating this awesome program, mentoring children in their pursuit of love of nature, etc, please call me at 707-479-1052.

I was recently thinking about the good times us IslandWood had at your land this winter. I hope we all really can stay in touch! Now that spring is coming, we are starting a new quarter of classes and looking forward to exploring phenology with our students in our island forest. Hope spring is treating you well too! If you want to see what we're up to or contact any of us, check out our blog at islandwoodeec.blogspot.com. Also, maybe we can start thinking of dates for a reunion!
Cheers, Kristen

How long can you simply pay attention like a wild animal?
Still keep your Owl Eyes wide and your Deer Ears perked and your Raccoon Touch sensitive. Now Let your eyes be soft and stretched, listen with your ears to the little sounds around you, feel the wind on your face, smell the air with long breaths. Hold this whole, wide-open awareness for as long as you can stand it. How long can you simply pay attention like a wild animal? Some animals do this all day long,
