My dog often comes with me for sit spot. I think is would be better if she did not come, as an animal running around near me scares off the wild life I would try to quietly observe. Indo will sit quietly if I ask her too, but that becomes a distract…

I don't, but my kitten's been following me. Then he rolls around and tears leaves off of things and crouches on my knee prepared to leap at everything that rustles -- not always helpful. I think a dog could go into the zone with you, get quiet and l…

The first time I sat, I had a cat with me. He was washing and I was kneading the fur on the back of his neck and looking around, when a doe stepped out of a blackberry patch. She stopped when she saw us. I looked her in the eyes and then thought, no…

Does anyone bring their dog with them to their sit spot? I am sure animals and birds and all know we are there but will they get used to us both?

I definitely feel Coyote Mentoring can be used in a one-on-one situation. Finding the person's edges, nurturing their curiousity, etc. You would be tailoring the exercises for the individual which is what happens in a group as well. Each person is h…

I feel like I am growing younger in the sense of having more curiousity and joy in life. Once we get over caring about what doesn't matter, as Ritchie points out, we can go back to exploring and being silly and truly feeling without censorship. We n…

I didn't realize I had a page here but I guess I do because I check this stuff out when they send me updates. My teenager is the wilderness guy. He is a SERIOUS student of Kamana and all the naturalist stuff he can get his hands on. Pretty cool.

Greetings Helena,

I responded to your comment at the Thanksgiving address group. The knowledge you have to share is enlightening. Thank you.

Your comments are so helpful, Helena. Since engaging in an exercise discipline that makes lungs so important- buoyancy on the water - I almost feel like a different person. It gives me a different relationship to my inner and outer world, also. Joel's 'Sit Spot' journal today is about 'breath' and how it connects all things. Is there a particular place in this 'Thanksgiving address' you think this could fit, Helena? Oxygen comes from the leaves of the trees and plants....?

Good morning Helena,

I came by to say 'hello' and introduce myself. I enjoyed your contributions to the 'Thanksgiving Address' group. Your stories are wonderful. Very interesting about the maple tree. Your work must be so gratifying. I hope you'll continue to share your work with us, 'rebirthing' culture based on honoring the earth. I am looking forward to reading about it.

Have a beautiful day.

With friendship,
deerwoman
