Hello! I just finished Kamana One and am starting Kamana Two. I'm a Michigander and love being outside. We camp, backpack, mountian bike, & run - anything that gets me out-of-doors. The whole sitting still and getting to know one place is new to me, but I'm super excited to give it a try. I'm a School of Natural Resources and Environment (University of Michigan) grad and teach Environmental Science and Biology at my local high school. I love teaching & learning - I just finished my masters in Science Ed and got to take all sorts of cool field courses, including two on Isle Royale National Park. The Kamana Program seems perfect since it helps guide my outdoors exploration, but in a non-traditional way. I have the benefit of having a state park at the end of my block (although I live in a pretty suburban neighborhood) so my sit-spot in just inside the park (and just down the street!). I'm definitely looking for other people who are in the midst of the Kamana program to share my ups and downs with - so leave me a message if you are interested in helping each other out! :)
