You can totally do the program in city. I'm sure there are plenty of song birds and insects and probably some small mammals running around. You might also want to observe your fellow man : ) and his habits, trails,... of course, it would be great if you had a second sit spot that was more in the wilderness that you go to, like once a month, but I bet you will be surprised about what you learn about wildlife the city.
