Ah, I see - Seattle! Well, that's great! My family is moving back to Vashon Island in the fall, so who knows what may unfold regarding our participation in your camp. I'd love to be in the loop!

Scout walk leads to 200 coyote tracks....

Skykomish River Sandbar

I arrived around 9:50am. I gathered my things and then headed out over the train tracks. I paused, the sandbar and forest expanding before me, and listened. All was very quiet. I saw a robin up and to my left. He was brightly colored and sat motionless, silent. No songs, no alarms, no companion calls...I immediately dropped into my routines of invisibility and moved silently down the embankment and across the creek. I noticed old and semi-new tracks… Continue

Primitive Camp

Hey everyone,
I hope this blog reaches you in good health and happiness! For the past 6 years I have dreamed of having a primitive camp where people can gather and practice the skills. Well, after 6 years and much procrastination and dreaming, it has started. I hope to start in our current location and as time progresses perhaps move to a more appropriate and secluded area. However, for now it is two members strong with a few interested parties. Our intentions are to create a community space… Continue

Most have been generated around people as I work in a busy coffee shop in the city and don't have much time to get out into the woods. Here's the project and I would love some bio-feedback from you all if you are interested. If not no worries!

Project Focus:
"Animals move around in heightened awareness, a positioning of awareness that is nearly invisible to normal/common awarenes… Continue

We will be meeting every monday around 10am at the Sultan Sandbar. It is just outside of monroe along highway 2. If you drive out to Sultan, the next town is called Startup. There is a market and a garden store on the right. If you take that street and head South, you can follow the road over the railroad tracks 2 times. There will be a guard rail to the right of the street. I often park there, however you can drive up to the left of that along the railroad tracks.

Your primitive camp note sounds interesting but where will you be meeting? I live in Woodinville, close to WAS.
